Dr. Kohn is PI and Director of the Michigan-Pittsburgh-Wyss Regenerative Medicine Resource Center, a national center housed at Michigan and funded by NIH to translate regenerative medicine technologies into clinical practice.
University of Michigan Biosciences
Dr. Kohn is PI and Director of a UM Biosciences Research Initiative in engineering programmable biomaterials, with a goal of making UM pre-eminent in this area and coalescing regenerative medicine across campus
Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine (TEAM):
Dr. Kohn is PI and Director of an NIH supported T32 Institutional Training Grant in Tissue Engineering and Regeneration, This grant, nicknamed TEAM (Tissue Engineering at Michigan) is the longest standing training grant at Michigan and supports Ph.D. students from BME, PIBS, OHS and Post-Docs.
P30: Musculoskeletal Core
Dr. Kohn is PI and Director of the Structural and Compositional Assessment Core of the Michigan Integrative Musculoskeletal Health Core Center (MiMHC). This core supports micro and nano-CT and Raman spectroscopy of tissues and materials.
Society for Biomaterials
Dr. Kohn is on the Board of Directors and Past President of the Society for Biomaterials.
